Apocalyptic Bunker Playbook

Introduction

Welcome, brave survivors! The world is in chaos, and humanity’s fate rests within the confines of this bunker. But only two players can make it through. Convince others you’re the most important person for survival—being left outside isn’t an option.

How the Game Works

Setup

  • A random apocalyptic scenario is chosen (nuclear war, zombies, meteor showers).
  • Each player receives cards: Profession, Age, Health, Backpack, Hobby, Fact.
  • Cards increase with the number of players—more chaos, more fun!

Reroll Phase

Before the first round, the leader can allow a short reroll phase where each player may reroll their entire hand once for a fresh set of cards. The leader can disable this phase entirely in the game settings — if it's off, the game jumps straight into revealing cards.

Rounds

  • Each round, players reveal one card of their choice.
  • You can revisit revealed cards by clicking on a player’s icon.

Voting

Once every player reveals a card, voting begins:

  • Triggered by the leader or the majority of players.
  • Vote for who gets kicked out. Ties lead to a revote with only tied players.

Eliminated Players

  • Eliminated players’ cards are revealed to everyone.
  • They can still talk and influence the game.
  • Whether eliminated players can vote is decided by the leader before the game starts — check the game settings to see if it's on.

Game Settings

Before starting, the leader can configure the game from the lobby:

  • Reroll phase and whether eliminated players can vote can each be turned on or off.
  • The reveal, voting, and discussion phases can each be given a time limit — discussion has none by default, so it stays open-ended unless the leader sets one.
  • Special cards and random events are visible as toggles too, reserved for future updates — they don't change anything in the game yet.

The Endgame

The game ends when only two players remain in the bunker. A new game can then be started by the leader.
